Job summary

CORE Linen is seeking a driver to perform linen delivery and pickup duties at customer sites. You will load/unload carts, prepare and submit daily paperwork, and ensure soil is weighed and delivered to the soil room while maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety standards.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening, and a clean driving record. Lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling 700 lb carts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Clean driving record and MVR background check required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull heavy carts.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload linen carts at company and customer sites.
• Complete all required paperwork/logs daily.
• Weigh soil according to customer and deliver to soil room.
• Disinfect vehicles after soil pickups.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and appearance.
• Submit Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Report daily.
• Perform deliveries accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Summary:

To assure customer deliveries are made with accuracy, timeliness. And within set time parameters. Perform job duties in a safe and courteous manner while maintaining an unblemished driving record. Adhere to all company and DOT requirements, including but not limited to daily documentation.

• Adhere to all Core Linen Services policies as stated in the employee handbook.
• Be in uniform and maintain a neat appearance every workday.
• Adhere to Core Linen Services attendance policy.
• Keep company equipment lean and organized.
• Report any mechanical issue to chief engineer promptly.
• Follow all universal precautions and procedures while on soil side.
• Maintain all proper DOT documentation and certification.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Report any and all problems/issues in regard to customer service and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, individual must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and possibly holidays. Have and maintain a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license. Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and MVR background check. Be able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart of 700lbs.

Essential Duties:

• Load and unload linen carts at both the company’s and customer’s place of business tagging each one accordingly.
• Completely fill out all required paperwork/logs and turn in daily.
• Weigh all soil in under the correct customer and deliver all soil to the soil room.
• Disinfect vehicles after each soil pick up.
• Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
• Turn in a Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection Report daily.
• Perform customer deliveries in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
