Job summary

US FOODS is seeking delivery drivers in Tulsa, OK to safely transport products to customers and ensure accurate, timely deliveries. You will unload goods, verify orders with customers, and handle payments where applicable. Strong English communication and basic math are required, with a valid license and background check.

Some locations may require manual transmission experience. Benefits begin Day One and the role includes overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with endorsements if required.
  • No more than two traffic convictions in past two years; no DUI in past three years; no suspensions in past three years.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • One year of multi-stop delivery experience preferred or six months local delivery/foodservice delivery experience preferred.
  • Manual transmission experience preferred; may be required in some locations.
  • Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local delivery area and map-reading is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times.
  • Unload products from trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain signatures.
  • Handle collections and payments when applicable.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Provide professional customer service to enhance the customer experience.

Main Ingredients of the Job
  • Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled customer delivery times.
  • Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place products in designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain required signatures.
  • Handle collections and payments when applicable.
  • Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance the customer experience.
  • Perform all pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20-80+ lbs. of product repetitively throughout each shift.
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
What You Bring to the Table
  • Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse.*
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required.
  • No more than two traffic convictions within the past two years, no DUI convictions within the past three years, and no driver's license suspensions within the past three years.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • No commercial or professional driving experience required.
  • One year of multi-stop delivery experience preferred or six months of local delivery and/or foodservice delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
  • Hand cart delivery experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must pass pre-employment testing, including a background check.
  • Knowledge of the local delivery area and map-reading skills preferred.
  • Ability to use safe lifting and loading techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Compensation

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).

The expected base rate for this role is $24.13 per hour.
