Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Local Route Driver to join our Operations team. In this role you will safely operate a vehicle and deliver exceptional customer service while managing your dedicated local route on a daily basis.

This position requires loading, transporting, and unloading materials per DOT and security standards, accurate paperwork, and strong communication with dispatch and customers as the face of Iron Mountain on the road.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of route transportation experience.
• Valid Drivers License with clean record; 21+.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and background check.
• Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and handling heavy bins.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain company vehicles safely to perform pickups and deliveries following DOT and security standards.
• Manage end-to-end route logistics, loading, transport, and unloading with accurate paperwork.
• Collaborate with dispatch and customers, representing Iron Mountain on the road.

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Local Route Driver to join our Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle and delivering exceptional customer service as you manage your dedicated local route. Your attention to detail in transport and record-keeping is critical to maintaining the security and trust Iron Mountain has with its clients.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

In this role, you will:

• Operate and maintain company vehicles safely and efficiently to perform scheduled pickups and deliveries, ensuring all Department of Transportation (DOT) and Iron Mountain security standards are followed.
• Manage the end-to-end route logistics, including the secure loading, transport, and unloading of materials without assistance, while accurately preparing all required paperwork and records.
• Collaborate with dispatch and customers to ensure timely delivery and demonstrate strong customer service and verbal communication skills as the face of Iron Mountain on the road.

What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)

The ideal candidate will have:

• 1 - 2 years of preferred experience in route transportation or a similar field.
• Drive a Commercial Box Truck / Mobile Shred Unit / Tipper
• Make an average of 15+ stops daily.
• Use wireless scanning technology/ preparing paperwork.
• Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and security procedures, including the ability to pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, and DOT physical.
• Proven ability to perform the physical tasks required, including safely lifting up to 70 pounds and carrying/moving heavy bins, and exhibiting safe, efficient driving skills.
• A valid Driver’s License with a good driving record and a minimum age of 21.
