Position Purpose:

All drivers run daily routes with frequent stops and are required to load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop on the assigned route in the order they are designated by the Transportation Department Manager. Candidates will operate successfully in a cross dock model, picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries at the designated loading dock and returning the empty truck to the lot at the end of the route. May be required to assist with loading trucks, palletizing, and other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated times.
• Unload product from trailers, by hand or using hand carts, and place in designated customer storage areas, often in all weather conditions.
• Frequently lift, push, or move product weighing 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds; reach up to 72" to stack/unstack pallets; bend and twist during loading/unloading.
• Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or errors.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Properly handle company equipment, follow safety rules, and perform pre-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policies.

Education:

• High School or GED or equivalent

Experience:

• One year route delivery experience or applicable driving background with a straight truck.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read and understand English.
