Non-CDL Driver - Street Sweeping (Transportation)

Join Our Team as a Non CDL Driver!

Location: 2404 Commerce St, Chattanooga, TN 37408
Hours: Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 4 AM

Job Summary:

SCA is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Non CDL Driver. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities as a Non CDL Driver:

• You will be provided with a planned route of accounts to service and will be responsible for completing your work independently (no manager will be breathing down your neck all night).
• You will operate parking lot sweeper equipment (trucks) and be required to inspect them daily to ensure safe operation.
• You will work outside at times sweeping shopping plazas or store parking lots, using a leaf blower to blow off sidewalks, change trash bags, and possibly walk 3-4 miles during a shift. (If you prefer not to sit in a truck all day, this job offers good physical activity!)
• You will be provided with proper safety equipment (PPE), and you will need to wear pants, a long-sleeved shirt, and boots.
• Review scheduled routes assigned and be proactive; ask questions if the route is unclear.

Requirements/Skills:

• Valid Driver's License
• Good Driving Record
• Ability to pass employment and random drug tests
• Ability to follow directions, operate a GPS and tablet, and adapt to the work environment
• Proper work attire (pants, shirt with short sleeves at minimum), above-the-ankle work boots, and PPE
• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Ability to work outdoors in variable and adverse weather conditions
• Exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, grease, oil, and chemicals
• Active, physical work involving lifting (50+ lbs.), carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, reaching, walking, standing, driving, and operating equipment for extended periods
• Good focus, depth perception, and vision (near and distant)
• Use of safety equipment (ear, eye, and other PPE)
• Use of hands to operate objects and controls, and reach with arms
• Monitoring vehicle mirrors with eyes, shoulders, and neck
