Position Summary
Wood Systems North is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Non-CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for delivering materials to job sites and customers, assisting with shipping and receiving, and performing general warehouse duties. The ideal candidate will be a dependable team player with strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving Duties (Non-CDL):
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to job sites, vendors, and customers, including occasional interstate deliveries.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues promptly.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring accuracy and care in handling products.
- Follow all DOT and company safety guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle.
- Warehouse / Shipping & Receiving Duties
- Receive, inspect, and stock incoming materials and products.
- Pick and stage materials for outbound shipments or deliveries.
- Assist in inventory control, including cycle counts and inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided if needed).
Required Qualifications
- Driver must be 21+ years old with a valid driver’s license & clean driving record.
- Experience with driving 10k lb+ vehicles (Box truck).
- DOT Medical Certificate (Company-paid for qualified applicants).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently for safety and communication during interstate deliveries.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or driving experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery.
- Familiarity with building materials or wood products.
