Part Time Driver - Non CDL

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for delivery and pickup of containers to and/or from customer locations; provide an effective and incident-free delivery or pickup of a container while maintaining excellent rapport with the customer.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Drive and operate a commercial truck with a patented lift mechanism to load and unload containers at customer site in a safe manner by following all safety rules.
2. Perform and log daily pre and post trip inspections of commercial vehicle and lift.
3. Accept add-on deliveries as required to meet business needs.
4. Use company handheld device for delivery verification and navigation.
5. Meet all goals and metrics.
6. Operate a forklift when needed.
7. Clean and inspect containers to ensure they are presentable for delivery to customer.
8. Communicate with the Driver Lead or Market Manager on customer questions and/or issues; prepare driver notes as needed.
9. Perform repairs of containers and lifts in the field and at the storage center.
10. Provide backup for storage center functions when needed.
11. Maintain cleanliness of truck cab (keep free from debris inside and outside).
12. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job titles include: Market Manager, Territory Manager.
• This position is NOT directly responsible for managing other employees (e.g., hiring/termination and/or pay decisions, performance management).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a delivery driver.
• Must maintain a current/valid driver license from the state in which the position is assigned.
• Must meet PODS Driver Qualification Standards, including no moving violations during the past three (3) years (insurance requirement).
• Must be at least 18 years of age (insurance requirement).
• Possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to obtain a minimum of a 1-year certification (DOT requirement).
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software.
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
