Daniels Health is seeking a driver to collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare locations in the Hayward, CA area. You will operate a 26ft box truck, provide professional service, and support safe handling of medical waste daily.

Full-time role offers benefits from day one, overtime potential, and a stable schedule: four days a week, 10-hour shifts from 2 AM to 12 PM, with one Saturday per month required. A $1,000 new hire bonus is included.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with manual handling preferred.
• Willingness to work full-time hours (~40 hours/week).
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Passing Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse (7 Year review).
• Strong customer focus and flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites.
• Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships.
• Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions.
• Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise.
• Load and unload containers; organize truck and day to meet schedule.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues immediately.
• Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections.
• Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems.
• Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes.

Daniels Health is offering a $1,000 new hire bonus for joining our amazing team in Hayward! We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Hayward, CA area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. This role offers a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to some OT and good benefits. Our vehicle fleet is modern and well-maintained. What will your job involve?

• Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites
• Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships

What are we looking for?

• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing our 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
• On time delivery practices
