Daniels Health in Hayward, CA seeks an enthusiastic, customer-focused driver to operate a 26ft box truck across the Hayward area. You will collect and deliver medical waste containers, provide courteous service, and ensure on-time routes.

The role offers autonomy, stable hours, and benefits, with a new hire bonus of $1,000. Expect full-time hours (40/wk), with OT opportunities and a set schedule of 2 AM–12 PM, four days a week, plus occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Experience with 26 ft box trucks preferred.
• Ability to lift and load containers.
• Willingness to work full-time 40 hours/week with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites.
• Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships.
• Operate a 26 ft box truck safely in all conditions.
• Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues.
• Load and unload containers; organize truck and day to meet schedule.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues promptly.
• Follow DOT regulations, log hours, and support roadside inspections.
• Coordinate with dispatch to resolve route or customer problems.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused driver who can operate a box truck (26 feet) across the Hayward, CA area. You will be collecting sharps and medical waste containers from our healthcare customer locations and delivering a high level of customer service daily. • Collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at customer sites
• Provide professional, courteous service and build positive customer relationships
• Operate 26ft box trucks safely in all conditions
• Complete routes on time and communicate delays or issues as they arise
• Load and unload containers; organize your truck and day to meet your schedule
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report issues immediately
• Follow DOT regulations, log hours correctly, and support roadside inspections
• Work with dispatch and teammates to resolve route or customer problems
• Own up to mistakes, report incidents accurately, and follow through on fixes
• Delivery experience within any industry where you have dealt with manual handling (advantageous not mandatory)
• Willingness to work full time hours, approx. 40 hours a week
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations
• Passing 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• A flexible, can-do attitude with a strong customer focus
• Experience operating vehicles in a safe manner (as large as 26 ft box trucks)
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, roadside inspections
• Confident in a road check level 1 through level 3
• Proven longevity in past employment
