Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers safely and on a timely basis, using our company vehicle. You’ll ensure on-time deliveries and provide friendly, professional service to customers.

The role offers an opportunity to support yard activities when delivery volume slows, helping you reach weekly hours goals. Knowledge of building materials and a customer-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Delivery experience with building materials, furniture or large items.
• Acceptable driving record (state requirements vary).
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Friendly, customer-service-driven personality.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers safely and on time using a company vehicle.

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
• This position will be for our facility located in Canal Fulton, OH
