Job summary

NEFCO Edge, a division of NEFCO Construction Supply, seeks a reliable non-CDL Driver to support distribution operations. You will perform receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing of construction materials, and dispatching of delivery trucks for local deliveries to commercial sites and offices.

You must be at least 23 years old with non-CDL vehicle experience of 24’–26’, and demonstrate exceptional service, safety, and timely execution in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Must be 21 years or older.
• 2 years of prior driving experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Must possess a current, valid Medical DOT Card.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent knowledge of the local delivery area.
• Ability to sit in vehicle for long periods.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (including forklifts).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product.
• Make deliveries to customer job sites/home offices with a company vehicle.
• Load inventory on truck and unload at customer sites while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ensure manifests are complete and accurate.
• Provide timely, accurate and courteous customer service.
• Communicate arrival and status to customers as liaison with dispatcher and branch logistics.
• Prepare and maintain records per company procedures.
