Job summary

NEFCO is a construction supply company seeking a CDL Driver to support contractors with timely local deliveries to job sites and home offices. The role requires pre-trip inspections, careful loading/unloading, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring excellent customer service and safe operations.

The position starts early (5 am) Monday through Friday, with home every night and weekends. Candidates must meet CDL, age, and health card requirements and have 2–5 years of driving experience

Qualifications

• CDL required.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Experience driving 24’ and 26’ commercial vehicles.
• 2–5 years driving experience with commercial vehicles.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.
• Current, valid Medical Card.
• High school diploma (or equivalent).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Excellent knowledge of the local delivery area.
• Ability to sit in vehicle for long periods.
• Ability to work in varying climate conditions (cold, heat, humidity).
• Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting.

Responsibilities

• Performs pre-trip inspections of vehicle, equipment, paperwork, and loaded product.
• Make deliveries to customer job sites/home offices with a company vehicle.
• Load inventory on truck and unload at customer locations while maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work environment.
• Ensure manifests are complete and accurate.
• Provide timely, accurate, and courteous customer service.
• Check in with customer via company technology at each designated account to announce arrival and serve as liaison.
• Prepare and maintain records according to company policies.
• Communicate from the field with the dispatcher and branch logistics.
