Job summary

Builders FirstSource is seeking a Delivery Driver in Wilmington, NC to load, transport and deliver building materials to customer sites. You’ll secure loads, operate a forklift, and use handheld devices to maintain compliance with DVIR and HOS.

Requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, valid license, and a clean MVR. Training and growth opportunities are emphasized along with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 21+ years old; valid driver’s license.
• Pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card within five days of request.
• Have less than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math & measurement skills; ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Loads and secures product inside delivery vehicle.
• Delivers orders to specified site and unloads materials safely and accurately.
• Verifies order details and maintains logs of delivery duties and locations.
• Acts as a customer service liaison between BFS and the site customer; addresses concerns.
• Maintains cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles; performs safety checks.
• Uses handheld devices to ensure DVIR and HOS compliance.
• Maintains hours of service logs and pre/post trip inspection procedures.
• May perform credit/product return pickups and related paperwork.
• Operates forklift or non-motorized material handling equipment as needed.
• Observes safety procedures and participates in safety meetings.
