Job summary

Builders FirstSource in Sparks, NV is hiring a delivery driver responsible for loading, transporting and delivering building materials to customer sites. You will secure loads, verify orders, maintain logs, assist customers, operate forklifts when needed, and follow DVIR/HOS and safety procedures.

A valid driver’s license, DOT medical card, and clean MVR are required; this is a non-CDL role for vehicles 10,001–26,000 lbs. Work is performed in a production environment with lifting requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 21+ years old and valid driver's license.
• Pass MVR report and obtain DOT medical card within 5 days if requested.
• Fewer than 5 moving violations in the last 5 years.
• Basic math and measurement skills; ability to read and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Loads and secures products inside delivery vehicle.
• Delivers orders to specified sites and unloads materials safely.
• Verifies orders, maintains delivery logs and mileage records.
• Acts as customer service liaison and resolves issues as they arise.
• Keeps delivery vehicles clean and performs safety checks.
• Uses handheld devices to ensure DVIR/HOS compliance.
• Maintains hours-of-service logs and pre/post trip inspections.
• Operates forklift or other material handling equipment as needed.
