Job summary

U.S. Water Heating in Des Moines is seeking a Delivery Driver/Material Handler starting at 7:30 AM. You will pull products for orders, load trucks, and assist route drivers as needed, while following safety procedures and ensuring accuracy.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, attention to detail, and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. overtime may be required as business demands grow.

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High attention to detail and strong math skills to ensure accuracy.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive non-CDL truck and follow all safety procedures per company policy
• Pull orders accurately as assigned for daily deliveries
• Act as support for route drivers on an as-needed basis
• Stage orders according to truck location and verify the accuracy of pallets, etc.
• Load trucks for daily and special deliveries
• Use power equipment including, but not limited to forklift
• Recognize damaged product at any point in the process and take appropriate action
• Assist customers and/or drivers in loading materials into vehicles and trucks
• Perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned
