Job summary

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) in Canoga Park, CA is seeking a motivated Driver for a full-time role.

You will make deliveries, pick up material from our Central Distribution Center, and complete local job-site deliveries while ensuring safety and DOT compliance on every run. Qualifications

• Experience operating a 26-foot box truck and delivering to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional manner.
• Pick up material from the Central Distribution Center and transfer to branch.
• Complete local deliveries to job sites and maintain logs.
• Check vehicles daily for safety and maintenance; ensure DOT paperwork is completed.
• Report delays to dispatcher and communicate issues on route.
• Maintain documentation for deliveries and vehicle logs.

USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our team. This position will be located in Canoga Park, CA.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Pick up material from our Central Distribution Center and transfer it to the branch location.
• Complete local deliveries to job sites.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance on a daily basis, including insuring proper loading and drivers logs being completed.
• Complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Completing all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays as they occur during your delivery run.
• Complete all documentation for deliveries including preparation of logs, customer signatures on logs, and out of state mileage logs.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.
• Advise management of problems or delays during your delivery route.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment
• Experience operating a 26-foot box truck
• Must be strongly independent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card.
• Customer Service Experience and Driving Experience
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of customers, providing excellent customer service
