Job summary

Schaedler Yesco Distribution Inc. in Allentown is seeking a warehouse associate with delivery backup responsibilities. You will pull/pack orders, receive and stock items, load trucks, and assist in shipping via third parties.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and 1 year of 24–26 ft box truck delivery experience. Expected shifts start early in the morning, with opportunities for growth and benefits in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• One year of experience driving a 24–26 ft box truck for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Pull and pack orders.
• Unload, receive, and put away stock when needed.
• Prepare orders to ship via third party.
• Load trucks.
• Ensure inventory accuracy.
• Back-up driver for morning and afternoon runs.
• Back-up the Wire Services department as needed.
• Basic mathematics skills.
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.

Summary/ Objective:

This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks in support of warehousing functions including; delivering, storing, processing, and loading of warehouse inventory as well as being a backup box truck delivery driver.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 5 AM- until deliveries are completed.

Essential Functions:

This job most operates within the warehouse setting. Varying temperatures and moving equipment are presented in the warehouse. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Physical Demands:

• the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, push/pull) weight up to 50lbs unassisted
• The ability to climb a ladder
• The ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and various warehousing machinery/tools
• Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently
• Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred
• Valid drivers license.
• Ability to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and similar equipment.
• One year of experience driving a 24ft- 26ft box truck for delivery required.
