The State of Alaska, Department of Corrections, Division of Pretrial, Probation and Parole in Nome, seeks an Adult Probation Officer 1/2B to supervise adult felony offenders on probation and parole. You will conduct field encounters, interviews, and risk assessments while documenting findings and coordinating with courts and treatment providers.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent paraprofessional experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work in a rural Alaska

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field, or four years paraprofessional experience in probation, parole, pretrial, criminal justice, or related fields.
• Valid driver's license required and firearm preparedness may be necessary per job
• Background investigation and security clearances required by agency standards.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and manage adult felony offenders on probation and parole.
• Conduct field contacts, interviews, and risk/need assessments.
• Perform urinalysis tests and provide referrals for treatment needs.
• Ensure offender compliance with court or parole conditions and report violations.
