Job summary

Cloud Analytics Technologies, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Node.js Developer to own API platform development and related tooling. You will design, build, and maintain services in AWS, implementing RESTful APIs and CI/CD pipelines to improve developer productivity and the software delivery lifecycle.

The role requires 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js/JavaScript/TypeScript, Python scripting, unit tests, and cloud familiarity.

Qualifications

Job Description:

• Serve as a technical authority on all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of the API platform and tooling
• Support the API platform support and upgrades
• Develop applications, frameworks, and tools for API Core Engineering division to improve developer productivity and SDLC process
• Develop CI/CD pipeline tools and frameworks using GitLab, Python, and Shell Scripts

Interact with other development teams within Enterprise to support the adoption of the API gateway and frameworks we build, help resolve issues surrounding adoption and usage, and support questions or clarifications or issues from the consumer teams

Mandatory Skills

• 3-5+ years of software development experience using Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript as programming language
• Experience of Python programming language and scripting languages
• Experience developing comprehensive unit tests using Jest or Mocha or Chai or an equivalent testing framework
• Hands-on experience building and operating services on public cloud (AWS strongly preferred).
• Experience designing and developing APIs or microservices (REST), including versioning, authentication/authorization, and documentation.
• Proven experience with DevOps toolchains: GitLab (CI/CD), Terraform (IaC), and Git-based workflows.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, performance, and observability (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Strategic thinker with hands-on problem-solving skills.
• Experience using source version control (SVC) such as Git

Desired Skills

• Experience developing API with API Gateway support experience
• Experience in working with Platform teams.
• Experience in cloud is highly valued; AWS certifications are a big plus
