Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Wesley Chapel, FL, is opening a new state-of-the-art pediatric facility in Fall 2027. The Nocturnist position offers 40 hours per week with some weekends, supporting a multidisciplinary ED team to care for pediatric patients from day one.

Qualifications

• Pediatric Acute Care NP (PNP-AC) or PA certification and Florida licensure.
• Master's degree in nursing or PA studies from an accredited program.
• Clinical Master’s in nursing or DNP degree.
• Current Florida APRN or PA licensure.
• BLS and PALS certification (NRP in lieu of PALS for certain roles).
• National certification as a Pediatric NP-AC if NP track.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients in the ED.
• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, order and interpret tests, and formulate plans.
• Administer treatments and medications, perform procedures, and monitor responses.
• Provide family-centered care, communicating with families and involving them in decisions.
• Participate in rounds, case presentations, and education to enhance practice.
• Contribute to quality improvement and pediatric critical care research.
