Job summary

Lansdale Hospital is seeking a nocturnist for dedicated overnight inpatient care. The role involves evaluating and admitting patients, managing ongoing care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams during shifts.

Qualified candidates should hold an MD or DO, be board certified or eligible in Internal Medicine, and possess current BLS and ACLS certifications. Night shift coverage follows a schedule of one week on and one week off or alternatively one week on and three weeks off.

Job Overview

Join Jefferson Health’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care at Jefferson Lansdale Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Overnight admissions & inpatient care: evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage ongoing inpatient care.
• Team collaboration: coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) to ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
• Documentation & compliance: maintain accurate, timely charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and care plans while ensuring compliance with proper coding.

Schedule

Night shift coverage, one week on followed by one week off (alternatively one week on and three weeks off, per departmental schedule).

Qualifications

• MD or DO, board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of an accredited residency program.
• Holding or eligibility for a Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Availability to work night shifts.
