Job summary

McLaren Northern Michigan is seeking a full-time Nocturnist to join our inpatient service in Petoskey, Michigan. The 7 on/7 off schedule runs 7p–7a with APP support and 24/7 on-call specialty services.

The start date is late 2026, and the role involves general floor calls, admissions, and rapid response to codes. McLaren Northern Michigan is a 202-bed regional hospital serving 22 counties with Magnet status and a long-standing commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working independently.
• 7p-7a schedule with APP support and specialty services on-call 24/7.
• Immediate full-time Nocturnist opening with start late 2026.

Responsibilities

• General floor calls, admissions, response to codes.
• Night shift inpatient care in collaboration with APP and on-call services.
• Support physicians and participate in hospital coverage as assigned.
