Job summary

UPMC Hillman Cancer Center is recruiting a full-time oncology nocturnist for UPMC Shadyside to provide high-quality overnight care for hospitalized cancer patients, including solid tumors, malignant hematology, and BMT units. Responsibilities include evaluation, stabilization, and coordination with day teams for continuity and safety.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Medical Oncology.
• MD/DO degree and valid medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality overnight medical care to hospitalized oncology patients.
• Stabilize and treat acute issues and coordinate with day teams for continuity.
• Deliver thorough handoffs and accurate EHR documentation.
• Supervise residents, fellows, or APPs during overnight shifts when applicable.
• Follow oncology-specific protocols and participate in quality improvement.
