Job summary

Mercy Medical Group in the Sacramento area is seeking a Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider (Nocturnist APP) for a full-time night-shift role. You will provide cross-coverage care across hospitalized patients, including admissions, transfers, and discharges under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates will have a strong hospital medicine foundation, with California licensure (or ability to obtain) and DEA certification.

Qualifications

• NP or PA with acute care experience.
• Active California medical license (or ability to obtain).
• DEA certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of APP experience in acute care encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide cross-coverage care to hospitalized patients and facilitate admissions, consults, transfers, and discharges under supervision.
• Perform acute triage and manage acute changes in hospitalized patient conditions.
• Maintain accurate, timely records detailing patient care and transfer center requests at night.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, medical specialists, residents, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
