Job summary

MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD is seeking a Critical Care APP (NP/PA) to join a 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU, providing care for critically ill medical and surgical patients with a strong team and clinical autonomy.

The role offers a nocturnist schedule with collaborative ICU coverage, generous compensation, nocturnist adjuster, comprehensive benefits, CME leave and PSLF eligibility; current AGACNP/PA certification and BLS/ACLS required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care NP (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant program.
• Current AGACNP or NCCPA certification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• At least 1 year of acute care APP experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for critically ill medical and surgical patients in a 12-bed ICU.
• Lead Code Blue responses and participate in Rapid Response Team activations.
• Collaborate with a team of 5 physicians and 5 APPs for ICU coverage.
• Perform procedures with a high degree of autonomy within a collaborative team.
