Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago seeks a Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider to join the Hospitalist team. The APP will work with an attending physician, handling new admissions and cross-covering general Internal Medicine patients in a 70-patient night load on 7pm–7am shifts.

Ideal candidates hold an IL RN/APN license, MSN or DNP, and ANCC/AANP certification with CPR/ACLS. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position in a large academic health system with extensive multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Illinois RN and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain licensure
• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice with clinical specialty
• Current certification by ANCC or AANP; CPR and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• 152-night shifts covering 7pm–7am
• Cross-covering, on average, 70 patients per night
• Report directly to Hospital Medicine Lead Advanced Practice Provider
• 100% inpatient care
