Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies.
• Current Physician Assistant license.
• ED experience preferred; prior PA experience in ED required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a patient population in ED and hospital settings.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops and implements care plans with follow-up.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions per policies.
• Maintains high-quality documentation including admission, progress, and discharge notes.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate to patient population.
• May precept PA students and lead clinical programs.
