Job summary

Sound Physicians is hiring a Nocturnist Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider for PRN night coverage at Sutter Delta Medical Center in the East Bay, CA. This role requires ICU expertise and comfort with night shifts, alongside tele-ICU support and an on-call Intensivist.

The selected APP will join a 12-bed ICU team, participate in rounds, and manage complex cases including airway, vascular access, and ventilation. California license is preferred and US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Active PA certification is required.
• California license preferred.
• Experience in ICU and acute care settings; not suitable for new graduates.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the ICU (12-bed unit).
• Demonstrate independent assessment and management of critically ill patients, including procedures.
• Present and participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds in the ICU; work autonomously within theCritical Care team.
