Job summary

Magnolia Court is seeking compassionate caregivers to assist residents with daily living activities, hygiene, mobility, and meal support in a senior living setting. You will follow service plans, uphold resident rights, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality care for all residents.

Role requires CPR/first aid, ability to read care plans, and a commitment to safety. You may assist with activities and must be able to multitask in a busy environment and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be Drug free and submit to Urinalysis Drug screening upon hire and routinely.
• Must pass Criminal Background Check, Health Screening including TB test.
• Must be eighteen (18) years old.
• Maintains current CPR and first aid certification.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret care plans.
• Assisted Living and Memory Care regulations knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize and organize assignments.
• The employee shall be responsible for maintaining the integrity of Fields Senior Living.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL tasks as indicated in service plans (bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, oral care, ambulation, transfers, meals, housekeeping, bed making, laundry).
• Observe and uphold resident rights.
• Support residents with emotional and behavioral issues.
• Assist other staff on the floors as needed.
• Help residents to and from meals and activities; lead activities when asked.
• Work with staff from all departments to ensure quality of care.
• Keep environment safe and clean; perform housekeeping as scheduled.
• Observe resident safety and report changes promptly.
• Assist in development and revision of Service Plans by informing supervisor of needs and preferences.
• Respond to pendant/pull cords immediately.
• Maintain knowledge of community call/communication system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Maintain ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout the vast majority of the work day; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist and reach.
