Job summary

Ritter Communications seeks a NOC Security Engineer to safeguard and manage the company’s IP network in a hybrid role. You will administer next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto preferred), monitor SIEM systems, perform threat analysis, and lead incident response to minimize downtime.

You will also conduct digital forensics, threat hunting, and cross-functional collaboration with ISPs and teams across the organization, ensuring robust security for transport and customer connectivity.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field and 3+ years in security operations/SOC/NOC.
Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or vendor certs are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Maintain secure IP network infrastructure in a service provider-like environment.
Configure Palo Alto firewalls, VPNs, NAT, logging, and security policies.
Monitor SIEM for anomalies and intrusions in real time.
Lead incident response, containment, and remediation with minimal downtime.
Perform digital forensics and preserve chain-of-custody for investigations.
Conduct proactive threat hunting and improve detection capabilities.
Collaborate with ISPs and internal teams to resolve complex network/security issues.
Document configurations, playbooks, and lessons learned.
