Job summary

Trace Systems Inc. is seeking a Network Administrator I (MDA) to join the on-site team at Scott AFB, IL. You will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and DISA within a high-visibility Network Operations Center, ensuring 24/7/365 network availability.

Responsibilities include monitoring, troubleshooting, incident management, and service restoration. Must hold a DoD-8570 IAT II baseline certification, possess US citizenship, and have an active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of networking experience.
Active US Government Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top-Secret.
DoD-8570 IAT Level II baseline certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
Ability to work in 24/7 operational environment, including rotating shifts.
Experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and service restoration.
Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance monitoring.
Proficiency with routers, switches, and common platforms (Cisco/Juniper).
Understanding of IP/DWDM networks.

Responsibilities

Execute network operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and analysis of traffic for MDA/DISA.
Perform real-time failovers and service normalization during outages for continuity.
Provide incident detection, correlation, escalation, and resolution in NOC.
Communicate status updates to leadership, customers, and partners.
Support change management and configuration tasks, including upgrades and patching.
Document incident lifecycles using CMDB and incident systems.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to process improvements.
