Job summary

Robison Jewish Health Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct basic nursing care to residents under supervision, promoting comfort, independence and dignity.

Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, nutrition, hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities while maintaining clean environments and communicating changes to the supervising nurse. Oregon CNA certification and CPR/BLS required, with food handler card also needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1–3 years’ current nursing assistant experience preferred. Nursing assistant experience in an acute setting may substitute for long-term nursing experience.
• Certification as a Nurse Assistant in the state of Oregon required, having successfully completed an Oregon State Board of Nursing approved training program, and must be in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Current CPR or BLS certification required.
• Valid Oregon Food Handler Card required.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident care as assigned, including grooming and cleanliness, exercise, nutrition, sleep and hygiene, continence, and pain management.
• Assists residents to dress, bathe, groom, feed themselves, and transfer safely.
• Maintains clean resident rooms and shared spaces and exemplary personal hygiene.
