Job summary

The MBK Senior Living Caregiver role focuses on delivering high-quality daily living assistance to residents, including ADLs, transportation, and personal care. You will support residents’ social and emotional well-being with empathy and professionalism, following individualized service plans and MBK’s standards.

As a valued team member, you will participate in safety practices, maintain dignity and privacy, and contribute to a hospitable environment.

Responsibilities

• Responds to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident's independence, self-respect, personal dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• At the start of each shift, read and validate understanding of shift reporting, new or updated residents' Individualized Service Plan (ISP), and lifestyle surveys by initialing.
• Complete all resident assignments as directed in ISP during the work shift.
• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, hygiene, mealtime activities, bowel and bladder functions, and participation in wellness programming.
• Perform regular resident safety checks; report changes in the resident's condition, including mental status, behavioral expression, skin condition, appetite, etc.
• Aid at mealtimes if needed, with selecting meals, serving, eating, clearing, and delivering room trays as needed or assigned.
• Provide safe transport for residents by assisting with transfers into and out of beds and wheelchairs, using proper lifting and transferring techniques, and escorting residents to and from all meals, wellness programs, or other destinations.
• Respond to residents' behavioral expressions with compassion; follow up as directed and according to policy.
• Complete resident program leadership and engagement assignments, encouraging participation and enjoyment.
• Complete all assigned housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents and the community, as required or assigned.
• Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators to ensure levels are as prescribed by the physician for the resident's needs, and as allowed by the state, if properly trained.
• Respond promptly to all resident alerts, emergencies, and requests, ensuring residents are always safe and comfortable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.

Job Summary
