Job summary

MBK Senior Living is hiring a part-time Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities and compassionate care in a high-quality, hospitality-driven setting in Riverside, CA. The role emphasizes dignity, safety, and personalized service within the Individualized Service Plan, with shifts Thursday-Saturday 6am-2pm and pay of $18–$18.50 per hour.

As a vital team member, you will assist with ADLs, mobility, meals, safety checks, and resident engagement.

Responsibilities

• Responds to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining independence, dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• Read and validate understanding of shift reports and ISP in a timely manner at shift start.
• Complete all resident assignments as directed in ISP during the work shift.
• Assist residents in ADLs including bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, and mobility support.
• Perform safety checks and report changes in residents' condition to maintain wellbeing.
• Aid at mealtimes by helping with meal selection, serving, and tray delivery as needed.
• Provide safe transport for residents during transfers and to activities in a compassionate manner.
• Respond to behavioral expressions with empathy and follow policy for escalation.
• Complete leadership and engagement activities and participate in resident programs.
• Complete housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents and the community as required.

Job Summary

The Caregiver is a vital member of our community, dedicated to providing the highest degree of quality care and services. They assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL), including but not limited to personal and dental hygiene, transportation to meals and activities, and bodily functions. Caregivers are responsible for delivering exceptional hands-on care while supporting the social and emotional well-being of MBK residents with compassion and superior customer service, as outlined in each resident's Individualized Service Plan, while prioritizing dignity, privacy, and safety in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responds to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident's independence, self-respect, personal dignity, safety, privacy, and confidentiality.
• At the start of each shift, read and validate understanding of shift reporting, new or updated residents' Individualized Service Plan (ISP), and lifestyle surveys by initialing.
• Complete all resident assignments as directed in ISP during the work shift.
• Assist residents in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, hygiene (shaving, hair care, etc.), mealtime activities, bowel and bladder functions (assistance to bathroom, portable commodes, changing incontinency products, etc.), and participation in wellness programming.
• Perform regular resident safety checks; report changes in the resident's condition, including but not limited to mental status, behavioral expression, skin condition, appetite, etc.
• Aid at mealtimes if needed, with selecting meals, serving, eating, clearing, and delivering room trays as needed or assigned.
• Provide safe transport for residents by assisting with transfers into and out of beds and wheelchairs, using proper lifting and transferring techniques, and escorting residents to and from all meals, wellness programs, or other destinations, as needed or requested.
• Respond to residents' behavioral expressions with compassion; follow up as directed and according to policy.
• Complete resident program leadership and engagement assignments, encouraging participation and enjoyment.
• Complete all assigned housekeeping and laundry tasks for residents and the community, as required or assigned.
• Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators to ensure levels are as prescribed by the physician for the resident's needs, and as allowed by the state, if properly trained.
• Respond promptly to all resident alerts, emergencies, and requests, ensuring residents are always safe and comfortable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests following established safety standards, policies, and procedures.
