Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday–Friday role offers flexible full- or part-time options, with per-patient and per-procedure pay and quarterly bonuses.

You will perform debridement and bedside procedures, manage chronic wounds, and collaborate with care teams in post-acute settings. Comprehensive wound care training is provided, and licensure in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: Welcomes surgeons from all backgrounds; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, with patient follow-up.
