Job summary

Skilled Wound Care—part of Skilled Physicians Group—seeks a General Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities in Ventura, CA. This on-site role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule with the autonomy to manage patient care and stay current with surgical skills.

Full-time or part-time options are available, with compensation that recognizes surgical expertise and a performance-based pay structure. Training is provided for wound care protocols in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background; we welcome surgeons of all backgrounds and provide comprehensive wound care training.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and bedside debridement and other bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing.
