NO C2C - MID-LEVEL JAVA DEVELOPER local to Pasadena

Title: W2 MID-LEVEL JAVA DEVELOPER

Pay Rate: $60-70/hr.

Location: PARTIAL ONSITE > 2 DAYS/WEEK IN PASADENA, CALIFORNIA (91101)

Must currently live within 40 miles of Pasadena, CALIFORNIA (no exceptions)

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 3-5 years of Enterprise level Java development experience
• Version Control > proficiency with systems such as Git
• Development tools > experience with tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Jenkins
• Databases > familiarity with SQL and NoSQL
• Testing > experience with unit testing, integration testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Agile and Waterfall methodology experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Certifications

MUST have at least one of the following:

• Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE Programmer
• Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) - not required
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) - not required
• Spring Professional Certification

Responsibilities

• Write, debug, and maintain high-quality Java code
• Apply Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles to build scalable and maintainable software
• Design and develop Microservices-based applications
• Develop and manage batch processing systems
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Contribute to projects following the Waterfall methodology, as required
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Document code, processes, and procedures for future reference and maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve development practices

Compensation

The estimated pay range for this position is USD $60/hr. - $70/hr. and is an Exempt role.
