Job Description

Position Summary: The PBIS Coach promotes the PBIS framework of positive student behavior at their schools. They schedule and attend all PBIS meetings at their school, review student data such as attendance, discipline referrals, suspensions, and climate and culture data, collaborate with the team leader to prepare data and agenda, and serve as liaison between the PBIS County Point of Contact and the PBIS team.

Essential Job Functions

• Attend all PBIS meetings in the school.
• Assist the PBIS team in reviewing school data.
• Use the data to make decisions.
• Help the PBIS team to set reasonable goals.
• Reference the PBIS Annual Action Plan to track progress.
• Complete the following paperwork: Annual Action Plan, Fall and Spring IPI, Recognition Award application (if applicable), TFI, and preparation for the TFI external evaluation.
• Praise and reinforce the PBIS team and highlight successes of the school’s PBIS implementation.
• Be available for consultation.
• Publicize, highlight and share the success of the school’s PBIS efforts.
• Attend County PBIS meetings.
• Visit thepbismaryland.org for resources and support.

• Demonstrated management, leadership, and human relations skills.

• Ability to relate effectively to students, teachers, staff, central office personnel, parents, and community members.

Terms of Employment

Extra‑duty, extra‑pay position. Exempt. Salary $905 to $905 stipend.
