Solution One Industries Ltd is seeking a Safety Supervisor for our Williamsburg, VA site. The role oversees safety programs across medical logistics, enforcing DoD, OSHA, and DOT regulations while maintaining mission readiness and protecting personnel and property.

The position requires 5+ years in safety management within logistics or warehouse operations, with HazMat handling, PPE compliance, and safety training experience. CSP/OshA certifications are a plus; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety management within logistics, medical logistics, or warehouse operations.
• Experience with OSHA, DOT, and DoD safety regulations.
• HAZMAT handling and PPE compliance certifications preferred (CSP/OSH A certifications a plus).
• Forklift/MHE certification experience preferred.
• Prior military or federal medical logistics experience (DMLSS, MMIS familiarity) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety programs, policies, and SOPs for medical logistics operations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, DoD safety requirements and contract requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and hazardous conditions; implement corrective actions.
• Conduct safety training and ensure personnel maintain required certifications.
• Integrate safety controls into receiving, storage, and transportation activities.
• Lead internal safety audits and coordinate with government inspections.

This role ensures full compliance with applicable DoD, OSHA, DOT, and contract-specific safety requirements, while maintaining mission readiness and protecting personnel, equipment, and government property.Key Responsibilities1. Safety Program OversightDevelop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety programs, policies, and SOPs in support of medical logistics operationsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and DoD safety regulations and contractual requirementsConduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across warehouse and fielding operationsEnforce adherence to safe work practices during all logistics functions (receiving, storage, transportation, and deployment)2. Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) & PPE ComplianceOversee safe handling, storage, packaging, and transportation of hazardous materialsEnsure personnel are properly trained and certified for HAZMAT operationsEnforce proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with ANSI and DoD standardsMaintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure accessibility at all work centers3. Incident Prevention & ReportingInvestigate accidents, near-misses, and hazardous conditionsImplement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate future incidentsMaintain incident logs, safety metrics, and required reports for leadership and government stakeholdersEnsure timely reporting to appropriate authorities in accordance with contract requirements4.
