The University of South Florida seeks an experienced scientist to provide scientific, technical, and operational leadership for its Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Core Facility. This leadership role oversees instrumentation, training, safety, scheduling, billing, and long-term planning to enhance interdisciplinary research across chemistry, biology, engineering, and beyond.

Qualifications

• Expert leadership in solution-state and solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
• Ability to advise faculty, postdocs, graduate students, and other users on experimental design and data interpretation.
• Experience developing and implementing advanced NMR methodologies and training programs.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert scientific leadership for solution-state and, where applicable, solid-state NMR spectroscopy.
• Oversee day-to-day operation and performance of the NMR instrumentation portfolio.
• Develop a structured user-training and certification program for different access levels.
• Manage instrument scheduling, user authorization, service requests, and billing.
• Develop a 3–5-year strategic plan for the NMR Core and expand collaborations.
