Job summary

Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Data Scientist to develop, run, and analyze complex queries on massive data stores and to enhance NLP capabilities. The role covers data manipulation, reporting, and analytic support across distributed environments.

The ideal candidate has strong NLP, Python, and SQL skills, with experience in deep learning frameworks, transformers, and GPUs. A polygraph-verified security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance with polygraph.
• Experience with Python NLP libraries (Spacy, Gensim, NLTK).
• Experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras).
• Experience with HuggingFace Transformers.
• Experience with text classification and topic modeling in Python.
• Experience with encoder-decoder and generative NLP models.
• Ability to communicate methodological choices and results.
• Strong SQL experience including CTEs, set operations and subqueries.
• Version control experience with GitHub and Jenkins.
• Experience leveraging GPUs for accelerated computing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze high-volume structured and unstructured data for reporting and products.
• Perform NLP analyses, data processing, and results validation.
• Develop and test ML models for text tasks and semantic search.
• Contribute to large-scale parallel data processing in clustered environments.
• Measure performance and present findings to senior leadership.
