Job summary

Justjoin is seeking a Data Scientist Manager (NLP & GenAI - Consumer Insights) to lead a global team developing multilingual NLP and GenAI models powering our consumer insights platform.

You will guide technical direction, mentor data scientists, and remain a hands-on contributor, writing code and validating models for client-ready insights. You’ll collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and other engineering teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on data science or ML with NLP focus.
• 3+ years managing data scientists.
• Consumer insights domain expertise in CPG/FMCG.
• Strong Python and SQL, with PySpark.
• Multilingual NLP models in production (sentiment, emotion, classification).
• 2+ years building with LLMs in production (prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning).
• Strong statistical foundations and defend methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the data science roadmap with Product and Data Engineering.
• Improve accuracy of multilingual models and build evaluation.
• Choose models for each task balancing quality, latency, cost at scale.
• Build next-gen predictive models for trends and new industries.
• Manage the team: coaching, performance, career development, code reviews.
• Define metrics, playbooks and golden questions with Engineering.
• Present methodology and findings to enterprise clients.
