Job summary

Airgas is seeking a Nitrogen Pump Operator in Harvey, LA to rig, operate and transport nitrogen pumping units at field locations. You will work with field crews, perform safety checks, and ensure compliance with DOT and company procedures.

The role requires a Class A CDL with HazMat/Tanker endorsements, TWIC, and at least 1 year of tractor-trailer and tanker experience. Technically skilled candidates with a HS diploma or equivalent are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• TWIC card required.
• At least 1 year of tractor-trailer driving experience within the last 4 years.
• At least 1 year of tanker experience within the last 4 years.
• Proficient with manual transmission vehicles.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; two years technical college or military technical experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down nitrogen pumping units and equipment on site.
• Coordinate with operators and supervisors regarding progress and obstacles.
• Drive company tractor-trailers to national field locations and perform pre-/post-trip inspections.
• Identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
• Report accidents, safety issues, and customer feedback immediately.
• Maintain and submit required DOT and company reports accurately.
• Support 21-day work assignments with 7 paid days off.

Position Overview:

Responsible for rigging nitrogen pumping units and equipment at job sites, coordinating with operators and supervisors, driving company vehicles, and ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Rig up and rig down nitrogen pumping units and equipment on site.
• Coordinate closely with operators running units and supervisors regarding progress and obstacles.
• Drive company tractor‑trailers to national field locations, performing pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
• Identify maintenance needs and address them promptly.
• Report accidents, safety issues, and customer feedback immediately.
• Maintain and submit required DOT and company reports accurately.
• Support 21‑consecutive‑day work assignments with 7 paid days off.

Required Qualifications

• At least 21 years old.
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
• TWIC card.
• At least 1 year of tractor‑trailer driving experience within the last 4 years.
