Job summary

EnerMech is seeking experienced Nitrogen Process Technicians for LNG shutdown in Western Australia. This role runs from Sept–Nov 2026 and involves carrying out nitrogen purging operations safely and efficiently, in line with project procedures and requirements.

You will join a high-performing team delivering critical maintenance on a large-scale industrial project, with emphasis on safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Nitrogen Process Technician or similar on shutdown/turnaround projects.
• Experience with Nitrogen Membrane Units, HP Air Compressors and Dryers.
• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence; Construction White Card.
• Ability to pass Safer Together Medical.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Setup, operate and monitor Nitrogen Generation Units, HP Air Compressors, Dryers and associated equipment.
• Completion of operational activities following procedures and project direction.
• Assist in generating clear operational records.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental systems are followed.

Nitrogen Process Technician – LNG Shutdown

Western Australia | Sept – November 2026 | Major Shutdown Program

EnerMech is seeking experienced Nitrogen Process Technicians with a strong background in Nitrogen Process operations, utilising Nitrogen Membrane Units, HP Air Compressors and Dryers to support a major shutdown in Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering critical maintenance and shutdown activities on a large-scale industrial project from Sept – November.

About the Role

As a Nitrogen Process Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out nitrogen purging operations during the LNG Plant shutdown, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project procedures and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup, Operate and monitor Nitrogen Generation Units, HP Air Compressors, Dryers and associated equipment

• Completion of operational activities following procedure and direction of the Project Engineer and Supervisor.

• Assist in the generation of operational records in a clear and concise manner.

• Ensure quality, health, safety and environmental systems are implemented and adhered to.

• Participate in pre-starts and toolbox talks

• Support safe and efficient execution of nitrogen purging activities

About You

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

• Proven experience as a Nitrogen Process Technician, Process Technician, Operator, or similar role on shutdown, maintenance, or turnaround projects.

• Demonstrated experience working with Nitrogen Processes, particularly Nitrogen Membrane Units, HP Air Compressors and Dryers

• Strong understanding of industrial safety standards

• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

• Construction White Card

• Ability to pass Safer Together Medical

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.

• High commitment to safety, quality and operational excellence.
