Job summary

Air Products in Odessa, TX is seeking an experienced Operations Technician to monitor nitrogen production, control utility systems, and operate the DCS. You will perform preventative maintenance and manage water chemistry daily.

This is an 8-hour shift with on-call coverage for nights and weekends, reporting to the Site Manager. Air Products offers competitive pay and benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and more.

Qualifications

• Ability to read piping and instrumentation drawings.
• Experience with industrial process plants is preferred.
• Safety, integrity, and continuous improvement focus.
• Familiarity with DCS operations and plant instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and safety inspections.
• Monitor plant processes and log readings.
• Operate and troubleshoot the DCS and rotating equipment.
• Maintain water chemistry and complete daily operating tasks.
• Issue safety work permits and ensure lockout/tagout procedures.
