AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Test Engineer III (DevSecOps Support) to support the NISSC 3 program in Colorado Springs. The Test Engineer III will develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for system verification, validation, and operational acceptance, while also applying strong systems, virtualization, security, and database experience in a DevSecOps environment. This role collaborates closely with software developers, QA personnel, system administrators, and cybersecurity staff to ensure system functionality, reliability, and compliance.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in software testing, systems engineering, system administration, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum: Active Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain TS/SCI.
Holds Security+ certification. Holds VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA) and VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certifications. Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred: CEH - CFR - Cloud+ - GSEC - PenTest+ - SSCP
