As a Data Architect II on the NISSC 3 program, you will design, implement, and maintain the data architecture that underpins mission‑critical technical baselines and artifacts. You’ll ensure data integrity, availability, and reliability while defining and enforcing data management standards and practices.You will develop data management plans and processes (acquisition, validation, storage, lineage, and protection), collaborate with systems engineering, cybersecurity, and configuration management teams, and support audit readiness and continuous improvement of data management practices. You will also work in close coordination with the Emergency/Urgent Depot Level Maintenance (EDLM/UDLM) Manager.
4–6 years of experience in database administration and/or data architecture supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical systems.
Hands‑on experience with database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database security.
Experience with log analysis, user account and role management, and participation in incident response activities.
Proficiency with one or more major DBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.) and related scripting/automation tools.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Bachelor’s degree in: Information Technology (IT) / Cybersecurity / Computer Science (CS) / Information Systems (IS) / Data Science / Software Engineering OR equivalent DoW/Military training and experience in database administration, data architecture, or closely related field.
Active Secret clearance at time of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
One or more of the following: Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ (CE), or SSCP.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee‑owners. The salary range for this position is USD $96,800.00/Yr. - USD $161,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
