Job summary

The North Penn YMCA is hiring Ninja Zone Instructors for our Lansdale Area Family YMCA Branch. The role involves leading Ninja Zone classes, setting up equipment, and delivering engaging activities for youth in a part-time capacity.

CPR/AED/First Aid certification is preferred, with opportunities for professional growth. Applicants should be at least 16 with working papers, have experience with children, and be able to work with a diverse group of participants and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 with working papers.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children (teaching, coaching, babysitting, mentoring).
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead Ninja Zone classes, practices, and activities.
• Set up and break down equipment; maintain clean spaces.
• Develop and follow lesson plans and curriculum.
• Create a positive, encouraging environment for growth.
• Communicate with participants, parents, and team members.

The North Penn YMCA is hiring Ninja Zone Instructors for our Lansdale Area Family YMCA Branch.

Salary: $11 – $16 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Lead fun, safe, and engaging Ninja Zone classes, practices, and activities
• Set up and break down equipment; maintain clean and organized program spaces
• Develop and follow lesson plans and curriculum
• Create a positive, encouraging environment that supports physical and mental growth
• Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and team members
• Monitor participant progress and track attendance
• Assist with parties, special events, and additional programming as needed
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are safe and properly maintained
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Support YMCA standards and contribute to overall program quality
• Continue professional development through training and educational opportunities

Qualifications:

• Minimum age of 16 with required working papers
• At least 1 year of experience working with children (teaching, coaching, babysitting, mentoring)
• Knowledge or background in sports, fitness, or a related specialty
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal)
