Job summary

Crossroads YMCA is seeking a Ninja Coach to lead engaging NinjaZone classes, guiding youth to reach their potential through sport and movement. You will plan age-appropriate lessons, ensure safety, and foster a welcoming environment for children and families.

The role supports membership retention, requires CPR/AED & First Aid within 30 days, and offers evening/weekend hours typical of YMCA programs. This is a part-time on-site position at the Crossroads YMCA.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16.
• 12 months experience in gymnastics/karate/taekwondo or similar training; teaching experience preferred.
• Certifications required within 30 days of hire: CPR/AED & First Aid and New Leader Orientation.

Responsibilities

• Lead energizing, safe ninja classes and support YMCA mission.
• Develop class lesson plans and adapt to ages and abilities.
• Communicate progress with parents/guardians and keep attendance records.
• Maintain daily equipment checks and cleaning tasks.
• Promote YMCA programs and participate in staff meetings and events.
