Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Opticianry required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of occupational experience in ophthalmic optics.
• Current or eligible for Virginia state optician license.
• ABO and/or NCLE certification(s) required.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Support and achieve program objectives aligned with college goals.
• Participate in the selection/mentorship of adjunct faculty.
• Coordinate distance clinical education course offerings.
• Manage equipment related to laboratories and clinical instruction.
• Provide academic program advising and participate in curriculum assessment.
• Grow program enrollment through marketing and recruitment efforts.
